What is the show?

What is Marriage Can Be Murder?

Marriage Can Be Murder is a two-hour comedy murder mystery at Rio that combines dinner with an unfolding whodunit. A four-course meal is included, while the cast performs throughout the showroom instead of staying on a distant stage for the entire night.

The mystery and comedy develop around the room as guests eat, so dinner is part of the format rather than something you schedule before or after the show. It is essentially dinner theater built around clues, suspects and laughs in one continuous experience.

About the show

Frequently asked questions

Is Marriage Can Be Murder currently open?
No. Marriage Can Be Murder is temporarily closed. Vegas Sidekick has removed current showtimes and ticket links until performances resume.
Is this a dinner show or a comedy show?
Both, simultaneously. A four-course dinner is included with every ticket, and the murder mystery comedy unfolds throughout the meal. The show runs approximately two hours with two 8-minute breaks built in for mingling and gathering clues. This is not a dinner theater where you eat first and watch a show second — the food and the story happen at the same time.
Can I take photos?
Yes — photos are welcome. Feel free to take a few and enjoy the evening. Flash photography and video recording are not permitted. The show's energy accommodates some photo-taking, but the recommendation is to put the phone down and actually be present for the experience. You'll get more out of it that way.
Is this appropriate for kids?
Ages 8 and older are recommended. This is a recommendation rather than a hard restriction. The show is a comedy murder mystery — the content is appropriate for families with older children who can follow the mystery. It makes for a genuinely memorable family night out in a format that works on multiple levels for different ages.
Where is the Rio Hotel?
The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is located at 3700 W Flamingo Rd — just west of the Strip, about a 5-minute drive or rideshare from the center of Las Vegas Boulevard. The Rio has its own parking structure on the property. Marriage Can Be Murder performs at The Venue at Masquerade Village inside the Rio.
